CEVA Logistics has announced a significant expansion of its controlled air capacity across vital transpacific trade lanes. The logistics provider is launching a new air charter program connecting Hanoi, Vietnam, to Chicago, USA. Concurrently, CEVA has renewed its existing and successful air charter service operating between Wuxi, China, and Chicago.
This strategic move is designed to optimize inbound distribution efficiency for cargo destined for North America. Chicago's central location as a major logistics hub in the United States is being leveraged to facilitate faster and more streamlined onward distribution.
For freight forwarders and shippers, this development means increased options for reliable and scheduled air cargo services from key manufacturing regions in Asia Pacific to the US. The addition of the Hanoi route specifically addresses growing demand from Vietnam, a country increasingly important in global supply chains. The renewal of the Wuxi service ensures continuity of a proven solution from China. This enhanced capacity can help mitigate potential delays and provide greater predictability for supply chains, particularly for high-value or time-critical shipments. It may also offer an alternative to potentially volatile commercial air cargo capacity, providing more stable transit times and potentially more competitive rates on these specific lanes.
