L'Ortye Transport, operating out of Hoensbroek, has expanded its vehicle fleet by integrating three new MAN TGX 18.480 4x2 tractor units. These trucks are equipped with Hydrodrive, a hydraulic front-wheel drive system designed to offer superior traction when operating on uneven or inclined surfaces. Despite this specialized capability, the vehicles function as conventional 4x2 trucks on paved roads, ensuring efficiency for diverse transport needs. This addition contributes to L'Ortye's overall fleet, which now comprises 50 trucks.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this investment signifies L'Ortye's commitment to handling a broader range of cargo and delivery conditions, potentially including routes with less developed infrastructure. The Hydrodrive system suggests an increased capability for last-mile deliveries to challenging sites or for project cargo requiring access over varied terrain. This could lead to more reliable service for specific types of shipments, particularly those involving construction materials or equipment that need to be transported off-road at their destination.
