Four transport companies based in the Netherlands – SVZ Losgestort, Van der Wal Transport Heerenveen, DJK Logistics, and Schotpoort Container Transport – have announced a new strategic partnership. Commencing in January 2027, this collaboration will involve coordinating their transport planning and operational activities from a single, shared central facility located in Heerenveen.
This move suggests an effort to streamline logistics processes, optimize fleet utilization, and potentially reduce operational costs through shared resources and synchronized scheduling. For freight forwarders and shippers operating within or through the Netherlands, this partnership could lead to more reliable service, improved capacity management, and potentially more competitive rates from these combined entities. The centralization of planning may also simplify communication and coordination for clients.
The partnership aims to leverage collective strengths, enhance service delivery, and achieve greater operational efficiency in the Dutch road transport sector.
