Air China Cargo recently acquired its fourteenth Boeing 777 freighter, marking another step in its ongoing efforts to increase air cargo capacity and broaden its global network. The new aircraft, identified by the registration B-229D, was delivered to the Beijing-headquartered airline on October 1. This 777F was manufactured at Boeing's facility in Everett, Washington, US.
For freight forwarders and logistics professionals, this fleet expansion signifies a potential increase in available air cargo space, particularly on routes served by Air China Cargo. Enhanced capacity could lead to more stable rates and improved options for booking shipments, especially for high-volume or time-sensitive goods. It also suggests the carrier's commitment to strengthening its presence in key international air freight markets, potentially opening up new routing possibilities or increasing frequency on existing lanes.
