Lloyd's Register, Seapeak, Kongsberg Maritime, and Tunable have initiated a collaborative pilot project focused on the continuous, direct measurement of CO2 emissions aboard a new LNG tanker. The primary objective of this joint effort is to thoroughly investigate the precision and reliability of these onboard measurements. Furthermore, the partners intend to determine if this innovative technology can effectively serve as a compliant method for reporting emissions under the stringent regulations set forth by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the European Union.
