Danish bunker company Monjasa has announced the intake of nine new trainees for its Monjasa Oil & Shipping Trainee (MOST) program. Launched in 2018, this two-year program is designed to provide young professionals with comprehensive experience in bunker trading through a series of structured placements. Participants will undertake global rotations, gaining exposure to Monjasa's operations in key locations such as Dubai, Denmark, Panama, Singapore, and the USA. Notably, the program has expanded its reach this year to include Japan for the first time.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this news indicates a continued investment in the expertise within the bunker fuel supply chain. A well-trained workforce in bunker trading can contribute to more efficient and reliable fuel procurement, potentially leading to more stable bunker prices and better service for vessels. This stability is crucial for managing operational costs and maintaining schedule reliability, especially in a volatile market.
