Deltamarin and ToepferTransport have jointly revealed a new 17,000 deadweight tonne (DWT) multipurpose vessel (MPP) design. This concept, presented at SMM2026, is engineered to cater to the specialized needs of project cargo trades, featuring robust cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 250 tonnes.
The vessel design emphasizes flexibility for various project cargo types and offers an optional Ice Class 1A rating, making it suitable for operations in challenging icy conditions. Furthermore, its specifications are designed to allow passage through the Great Lakes, alongside its capability for global trade routes.
