LATAM Cargo has initiated the use of Virtual Reality (VR) technology to train its warehouse employees at the Miami Airport facility. This innovative approach allows teams to engage with and respond to real-time operational scenarios within a simulated digital setting. The initial phase of this VR training program will involve approximately 550 personnel.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this development signifies a potential improvement in cargo handling efficiency and safety at a key air cargo hub. Enhanced staff training through VR can lead to fewer errors, faster processing times, and better adherence to safety protocols, ultimately contributing to more reliable air freight services from Miami. This could positively impact transit times and reduce the risk of cargo damage or delays.
