Cargojet, a Canadian freighter airline, is set to expand its air cargo services between North America and Europe. The company will launch an additional weekly flight to Liège, Belgium, beginning September 23. This new Wednesday service, operated by a Boeing 767 freighter, will complement Cargojet's established weekend flights to the Belgian air cargo hub.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this expansion signifies increased air freight capacity on the transatlantic lane, particularly into a key European hub. The additional flight provides more options for shippers moving goods between North America and Europe, potentially offering greater flexibility in scheduling and improved transit times. While the immediate impact on rates is not specified, increased capacity generally helps stabilize or reduce pricing pressures, especially for urgent or time-sensitive shipments.
