SolitAir, a Dubai-headquartered cargo airline, has initiated a new dedicated freighter service between Dubai World Central Airport (DWC) and Tianjin Binhai International Airport (TSN). This strategic move is designed to enhance the airline's operational footprint within China, following its earlier introduction of services to Hong Kong and Urumqi last year. The inaugural flight on this new route reportedly transported a significant VIP cargo shipment.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this new route signifies an increase in direct air cargo capacity between the UAE and Northern China. It offers an additional option for time-sensitive shipments, potentially improving transit times and providing more flexibility for cargo destined for or originating from the Tianjin region. The direct service could also alleviate pressure on existing routes and potentially stabilize air freight rates for this specific trade lane. Forwarders should monitor capacity and pricing on this new route, especially for high-value or urgent goods.
