Japan-Engine Corporation (J-ENG) recently received the prestigious Marine Engineering of the Year award in Japan for its innovative UEC50LSJA ammonia-fueled low-speed two-stroke engine. This recognition highlights the advancements in sustainable maritime propulsion technology.
The UEC50LSJA engine was developed as part of the Green Innovation Fund Project's Next-Generation Ship Development initiative, spearheaded by Japan's New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). This project aims to foster environmentally friendly shipping solutions.
