Turkish Cargo, the air cargo division of Turkish Airlines, has announced the renewal of its IATA Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) certifications for Pharma, Fresh, and Live Animals. These certifications are now valid through 2029. The carrier initially achieved CEIV Pharma certification in 2016 and, in 2020, became the first airline globally to hold all three CEIV Pharma, Fresh, and Live Animals certifications simultaneously.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this renewal signifies continued reliability and adherence to global best practices for handling temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, perishable goods, and live animals. It assures that Turkish Cargo's infrastructure, equipment, operations, and personnel meet stringent international standards, which is crucial for maintaining supply chain integrity for these specialized cargo types. This consistency in certification helps forwarders confidently route high-value and sensitive shipments, potentially reducing risks of damage or non-compliance and ensuring smooth customs clearance and delivery.
