TCE has announced the renewal and expansion of its cargo management partnership with Air Transat, continuing a collaboration that began in 2019. Under this updated Total Cargo Management (TCM) model, TCE will oversee cargo operations across an increased number of international markets for Air Transat. A key aspect of this expanded agreement is the support for Air Transat's new airfreight route to Brazil. This service will be operated using Airbus A330 aircraft, which offer a significant cargo capacity exceeding 12 tonnes.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this development signifies increased air cargo capacity and new routing options for shipments between Canada and Brazil, as well as other international destinations served by Air Transat. The dedicated cargo management by TCE could lead to more streamlined booking processes and potentially improved service reliability for airfreight movements on these lanes. Shippers targeting the Brazilian market or looking for additional capacity on existing routes may find this expansion beneficial, offering more choices for their logistics needs.
