UAE cargo airline SolitAir has named OpenSky World as its exclusive cargo sales agent (CSA) for the Italian market. This strategic move aims to bolster SolitAir's presence and sales capabilities within Italy, aligning with its broader objective of expanding its international network.
Since its inception in 2024, the Dubai-headquartered carrier has rapidly developed its operations, now serving over 50 routes across more than 30 countries. In April, SolitAir secured authorization to conduct cargo and mail services into various destinations, further solidifying its operational reach.
For freight forwarders and supply chain managers, this development signifies an increase in available air cargo capacity and potentially new direct routing options for shipments to and from Italy. The appointment of a dedicated CSA in Italy suggests a focused effort to streamline booking processes and enhance service accessibility for local forwarders, potentially leading to more competitive rates and improved transit times on SolitAir's network.
