Mexican air cargo carrier Awesome Cargo recently announced the addition of its third Airbus A330-200 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) converted aircraft. The airline confirmed the delivery of the aircraft, identified by its registration XA-DUR, via a LinkedIn post on May 17. Flight tracking data indicates the freighter's journey from Mexico City International Airport (MEX) to Mexico City Felipe Angeles Airport.
This expansion signifies Awesome Cargo's ongoing strategy to grow its dedicated cargo fleet. The A330-200P2F model is a popular choice for cargo conversions, offering substantial capacity and range for medium to long-haul routes.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this fleet expansion by Awesome Cargo suggests increased air cargo capacity originating from and serving Mexico. This could potentially lead to more available space and competitive rates on routes operated by Awesome Cargo, particularly for shipments to and from Mexico City. Shippers might experience improved flexibility and reliability for their air freight needs in the region.
