Kyrgyzstan-based cargo airline Aerostan has established a global network for charter and ad hoc freight operations. The carrier employs three Boeing 747-200 freighters, each capable of transporting 100 tonnes of cargo. This fleet enables Aerostan to reach 105 international destinations across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, South America, and the CIS region.
Despite its extensive network, Aerostan reported a decrease in cargo volumes in 2025, handling 11,800 tonnes across 554 flights. This represents a reduction from the 14,300 tonnes and 743 flights recorded in the previous year. The airline's strategy focuses on leveraging its wide-body freighter capacity for flexible, on-demand cargo movements.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, Aerostan's network offers additional options for air cargo charters, particularly for routes connecting Central Asia with diverse global markets. The availability of 747-200 freighters provides significant capacity for oversized or heavy shipments that may not fit on scheduled passenger or smaller freighter services. The reported decline in volumes could indicate potential for competitive pricing on certain routes, depending on market demand and Aerostan's operational strategies.
