CFL intermodal has announced the inauguration of a new intermodal rail service linking Bettembourg-Dudelange in Luxembourg with Wrocław in Poland. This strategic expansion is designed to bolster CFL intermodal's existing European network, offering a more direct and efficient route for freight moving between Western and Central European markets.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this new rail connection presents an additional reliable option for transporting goods between these regions. It could potentially reduce transit times and offer a more environmentally friendly alternative to road transport for certain cargo types. The direct link may also help in mitigating some of the challenges associated with road congestion and driver shortages, providing more predictable scheduling for intermodal shipments.
