CBED has increased its offshore wind fleet to four vessels following the acquisition of the SeawayMoxie from Seaway7. The vessel, now rebranded as WindDedication, is equipped to accommodate 60 personnel. It will remain under charter to Seaway7 until early 2028, continuing its support for various offshore projects globally.
This strategic acquisition underscores CBED's commitment to strengthening its presence in the growing offshore wind energy sector. By expanding its fleet, CBED aims to meet the increasing demand for specialized vessels capable of supporting complex offshore installations and maintenance.
For freight forwarders and logistics professionals involved in project cargo and offshore wind logistics, this expansion signifies increased capacity and potentially more options for vessel chartering in the future. While the vessel is currently chartered, its long-term availability under CBED's ownership could impact project planning and resource allocation for large-scale wind farm developments. It reinforces the trend of specialized vessel operators investing in assets to serve the burgeoning renewable energy market.
