ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S) has announced a significant investment in its fleet, ordering three new 90,000-cubic-meter Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGCs). The total value of this order is $324 million, signaling a strategic expansion in the company's gas transportation capabilities. The delivery of these newbuilds is anticipated in the second half of 2029.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this development indicates a future increase in available capacity for the transport of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and other gases. While the delivery is several years away, it reflects a long-term outlook on demand for gas shipping. This expansion could contribute to more stable rates and improved schedule reliability for gas shipments in the future, as new, modern vessels enter service.
