TMC Compressors has secured a contract with New Times Shipbuilding Co. to provide marine compressed air systems for eight new container vessels ordered by A.P. Moller – Maersk. Each of the 366-meter-long, 18,600 TEU ships, designed for dual-fuel operation using either conventional bunker fuel or liquefied natural gas (LNG), will be outfitted with a complete system. This includes compressors for both control air and service air, essential for the vessels' operational functions.
This agreement supports Maersk's ongoing strategy to modernize its fleet with more environmentally friendly vessels.
