Transport en Logistiek Nederland (TLN) and DEKRA have announced their intention to discontinue the Keurmerk Transport & Logistiek (Transport & Logistics Quality Mark) service as of April 1, 2029. This decision is primarily attributed to the declining interest and limited uptake of the quality mark within the industry.
New certifications for the Keurmerk Transport & Logistiek will only be available for issuance until the end of 2026. After this period, no new certificates will be granted, and the existing ones will gradually expire until the final cessation date in 2029. DEKRA has been the sole certifying body for this particular quality mark for several years.
For freight forwarders and logistics operators, particularly those based in the Netherlands, this means that a specific national quality assurance standard will no longer be available. Companies that currently hold this certification or were considering it will need to evaluate alternative quality management systems or industry standards to demonstrate their operational excellence and compliance. While the direct impact on international operations might be minimal, it could affect local tenders or client requirements that specifically referenced this Dutch quality mark. Forwarders should assess their current certifications and plan for a transition if this mark was a key part of their compliance portfolio.
