The Nordseecluster A offshore wind farm has reached a significant construction milestone, with 22 of its 44 Vestas V236-15.0 MW wind turbines now fully installed. This achievement marks the halfway point for the project, which is situated about 50 kilometers north of the German island of Juist. The installation work is being carried out by DEME's specialized vessel, Norse Wind.
For freight forwarders and logistics professionals, this development highlights the ongoing demand for specialized heavy-lift and project cargo services in the offshore wind sector. The successful installation of these large components underscores the critical role of purpose-built vessels and coordinated logistics for such complex projects. This activity contributes to a steady stream of project cargo movements, impacting demand for breakbulk capacity and specialized port services in the region.
