Bahri Logistics, a division of Saudi Arabian shipping and logistics company Bahri, has finalized an agreement with Grandweld Shipyard for the construction of two new offshore service vessels. This order signifies an expansion of Bahri's fleet dedicated to supporting offshore operations.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this development indicates a potential increase in specialized vessel availability for project cargo and offshore industry support in the Middle East region. While not directly impacting container or general cargo rates, it reflects ongoing investment in niche maritime segments, which can indirectly influence overall port activity and demand for related logistics services.
These new vessels will enhance Bahri's capacity to serve the offshore energy sector, providing crucial support for various maritime projects.
