Sallaum Lines has completed a major milestone in its fleet expansion program, taking delivery of two new Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs), named MV Ocean Express and MV Ocean Navigator. These vessels are notable for their dual-fuel capabilities, operating on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), which aligns with growing industry trends towards lower-emission shipping.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, the addition of these new PCTCs to Sallaum Lines' fleet signifies increased capacity for the transport of vehicles and other roll-on/roll-off cargo. This expansion could lead to improved schedule reliability and potentially more competitive rates on routes served by Sallaum Lines, particularly for automotive logistics. The use of LNG as fuel also supports shippers' sustainability goals, as it reduces greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional marine fuels.
