Norwegian energy company Equinor and the Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) have formalized an agreement to investigate potential collaborations in the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and natural gas liquids (NGL) sectors. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) specifically targets joint efforts in shipping, storage, trading, and logistics operations within the United Arab Emirates.
This initiative could lead to enhanced infrastructure and services for LPG and NGL distribution in the region. For freight forwarders and logistics professionals, such a partnership might introduce new shipping routes or increased demand for specialized gas carriers, potentially influencing capacity and rates for LPG and NGL transport in and out of the UAE. It could also create opportunities for ancillary logistics services related to storage and distribution within the Emirates.
