SolitAir has initiated two new air cargo services, connecting to Tashkent and Navoiy in Uzbekistan. This strategic expansion significantly enhances the airline's presence in Central Asia, bringing its total network to more than 60 destinations across over 40 countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe. The new routes are specifically designed to cater to the growing demand for perishable cargo transport.
Uzbekistan has demonstrated a notable increase in air cargo activity, handling 57,200 tonnes during the first six months of 2026. This growth underscores the region's increasing importance as a logistics hub and a market for airfreight services.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, these new SolitAir services offer increased capacity and direct routing options for shipments to and from Uzbekistan, particularly for time-sensitive and perishable goods. The expanded network could lead to improved transit times and potentially more competitive rates on these specific lanes, enhancing supply chain efficiency for businesses operating in or through Central Asia.
