SATS has rolled out the initial phase of an integrated transport system at the Changi airfreight centre, featuring autonomous cargo vehicles (ACVs). This new service is designed to facilitate the independent movement of freight between SATS airfreight terminals and the warehouses of various freight forwarders located within the Free Trade Zone. The successful completion of the first pilot stage, involving the transport of loads, marks a significant step towards automating ground logistics.
