Effective October 7th at 03:00, the ECT Delta and ECT Euromax terminals in Rotterdam will launch their new Truck Capacity Management System (TCMS). This system will mandate time slot bookings for all trucks accessing the terminals to handle cargo. Road carriers will be able to reserve their initial time slots starting from October 5th at 09:00.
This initiative is designed to streamline terminal operations, mitigate congestion, and enhance the predictability of truck turnaround times. The implementation of a mandatory booking system is a common strategy employed by major container terminals globally to manage traffic flow and optimize resource allocation.
