OG Clean Fuels has announced the acquisition of 11 (Bio-)CNG filling stations from X3, an Italian operator. This strategic move is part of OG Clean Fuels' broader plan to expand its network of clean fuel stations across Europe, reinforcing its commitment to providing sustainable energy solutions for the road transport sector. The acquisition in Italy follows a similar expansion last year, which saw the company acquire Proviridis in France.
For freight forwarders and logistics professionals, this expansion means increased access to alternative fueling options for their road freight operations in Italy. The availability of more (Bio-)CNG stations can facilitate the transition to cleaner fleets, potentially reducing fuel costs and carbon emissions for inland transport. This development supports sustainability initiatives within supply chains and offers more routing flexibility for carriers utilizing gas-powered vehicles.
