MacGregor has secured an order to deliver RoRo equipment for two new ferries commissioned by TT-Line. These vessels, currently under construction at China Merchants Jinling shipyard, are designed for operations in the Baltic Sea. Each ferry will measure 240 meters in length and offer a substantial 5,400 lane meters of cargo capacity, catering to various types of wheeled cargo. A key feature of these newbuilds is their battery-hybrid LNG propulsion systems, aligning with modern environmental standards for shipping.
For freight forwarders and logistics professionals, the introduction of these new ferries signifies an increase in RoRo capacity on Baltic Sea routes.
