The Dutch transport firm LeerdamTrans BV, which recently declared bankruptcy, is making a fresh start. Its operations will be taken over by Mels Trans BV, a newly established company. Notably, Mels Trans BV is owned by the same individual who previously owned LeerdamTrans BV.
The company plans to recommence its transport activities from its base in Leerdam, utilizing a fleet of approximately fifteen trucks. A substantial number of the 22 employees from the former LeerdamTrans BV are expected to retain their positions within the new structure.
For freight forwarders and logistics managers, this development signals the continuity of a regional road transport provider.
