Four former senior executives from SaaS provider Q88 have developed and launched Vessel Fact, a new platform aimed at simplifying data management and compliance for vessel owners and operators. The system allows users to input vessel-specific data once, consolidating critical information such as certificates, questionnaire responses, officer matrices, load line particulars, and inspection records into a single, integrated environment.
The new company is led by Stephen Dudzic, who previously served as Q88's Chief Technology Officer for 15 years. He is joined by Catherine Mancuso, Chief Operations Officer, who brings nearly two decades of experience in maritime operations, including 16 years at Q88. Jeroen de Man, with an extensive career in sales, serves as Chief Sales Officer.
For freight forwarders, this development could indirectly lead to more efficient information exchange with carriers and vessel operators. Improved data management on the carrier side may result in better-maintained vessel records, potentially streamlining due diligence processes and reducing delays associated with compliance checks. While not directly impacting rates or capacity, enhanced operational efficiency for vessel owners could contribute to overall supply chain reliability.
