Soren Christian Meyer, who departed maritime digitalization company ZeroNorth in March, has founded Tidely Partners. This new venture is positioned as a "growth partner to the maritime technology economy," according to Meyer's LinkedIn announcement. Tidely Partners will offer a range of services designed to help maritime technology businesses expand and mature.
The firm's offerings include commercial due diligence for private equity and growth funds, assisting technology companies with market entry and scaling operations, and providing strategic, M&A, and capital advisory services to company boards and owners. Additionally, Tidely Partners plans to develop and integrate agentic AI solutions into its commercial services.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this development signals a continued focus on technological advancement within the maritime sector. The growth of specialized advisory firms like Tidely Partners suggests increasing investment and innovation in maritime tech, which could lead to more efficient tools for vessel optimization, supply chain visibility, and operational management. While not directly impacting rates or capacity in the short term, it indicates a long-term trend towards digitalization that could streamline processes and improve decision-making for forwarders engaging with shipping lines and other maritime stakeholders.
