Ammobia, a developer of modular ammonia production technology, has announced a strategic agreement with Lummus Technology, a provider of process technologies and energy solutions. This partnership, revealed on August 27, aims to license and deploy Ammobia's innovative ammonia production system on a commercial scale worldwide. The collaboration will integrate Ammobia's 'Haber-Bosch 2.0' process, which is the first ammonia technology to be included in Lummus' portfolio, with Lummus' existing hydrogen solutions.
The core objective of this alliance is to leverage Ammobia's technology for various applications, including marine fuels and energy storage and transport. Ammobia's approach is designed to enhance the economic feasibility of producing ammonia from diverse energy sources, moving away from the traditional model of large, world-scale plants towards more flexible, modular installations.
