Croatian state-owned railway freight operator HŽ Cargo and Slovakia-based Railtrans International (RTI) have formally agreed to establish a joint venture. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlines their intention to collaborate on intermodal freight transport services.
This partnership is expected to leverage the strengths of both companies to develop more robust and efficient rail logistics solutions. For freight forwarders and shippers, this could translate into improved intermodal connectivity, particularly across Central and Southeast European routes. The joint venture may offer enhanced capacity and more streamlined operations, potentially impacting transit times and service reliability for cargo moving through these regions.
