Hutchison Ports has finalized the expansion of its Terminal Intermodal de Navarra (TIN) located in Noáin, just south of Pamplona, Spain. This substantial upgrade has resulted in a fourfold increase in the terminal's operational capacity, significantly boosting its ability to handle intermodal rail freight.
This development is expected to enhance the efficiency and connectivity of cargo movements within northern Spain and potentially beyond. For freight forwarders and operations managers, this expansion means improved access to rail freight services in the region, potentially leading to more reliable transit times and increased options for inland distribution. The greater capacity could also help alleviate congestion at other hubs and support the shift towards more sustainable transport modes by making rail a more viable option for a wider range of shipments.
