This total is the second highest recorded so far in 2026, although it did not surpass the record 599 calls seen in May. Compared to the previous year, last month's figures show an increase of 81 calls over June 2025's 472 calls.
Over the first six months of 2026, the Mediterranean bunkering hub facilitated 2,869 vessel calls for marine fuel. This represents a significant 12.6% increase when compared to the 2,548 calls registered during the same period in 2025.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, consistent activity at key bunkering ports like Gibraltar indicates stable vessel traffic through the region.
