TAPA EMEA and Trans.eu have collaborated to launch the Certified Carrier Exchange, a freight platform specifically designed to enhance security within the logistics sector. This initiative aims to significantly reduce instances of cargo crime, carrier fraud, and identity-based theft by implementing stringent access controls.
The platform's core feature is its exclusivity: only carriers possessing valid and continuously verified TAPA TSR 1, TSR 2, or TSR 3 certifications are granted access. This verification process is intended to create a more secure environment for freight transactions, ensuring that all participating carriers meet recognized security standards.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this platform offers a more secure avenue for sourcing carriers, potentially reducing risks associated with cargo theft and fraudulent activities. By leveraging a pre-vetted network of TAPA-certified carriers, forwarders can streamline their due diligence processes and gain greater assurance regarding the security posture of their transport partners. This could lead to fewer incidents of loss, improved insurance claims, and enhanced overall supply chain reliability.
