Rolande has inaugurated a new facility in Tilburg, Netherlands, that provides both bio-LNG and electric charging capabilities for heavy road transport vehicles. This marks the company's first location to integrate these two sustainable fuel options, signifying a strategic move towards reducing emissions in the transport industry. The new electric charging infrastructure has been added to an existing site on Schepersvenweg in Berkel-Enschot, which previously only offered bio-LNG.
For freight forwarders and logistics operators, this development offers increased flexibility in fuel choices for their road fleets, particularly for those operating in or through the Netherlands. The availability of both bio-LNG and electric charging at a single point can streamline refueling and recharging processes, potentially reducing downtime and operational costs associated with managing diverse fuel types. This also supports the transition to cleaner energy sources, helping forwarders meet sustainability targets and comply with evolving environmental regulations.
