Nijhof-Wassink, a Dutch logistics firm, is acquiring Haveman Transport, another family-owned transport company, with the transaction effective from July 1, 2026. Both companies, based in the Netherlands, have maintained a close working relationship since 2015, specifically focusing on the transportation of animal feed products.
This acquisition is intended to deepen their existing cooperation, ensuring stability and continuity for their clients, employees, and partners within the specialized feed logistics sector. For freight forwarders and logistics managers, this consolidation could mean a more streamlined and potentially more reliable service offering in the animal feed transport segment within the Netherlands and surrounding regions. It may also lead to optimized routing and capacity management for this specific cargo type, potentially impacting lead times and service levels for shippers in the agricultural sector.
The integration is expected to allow both entities to leverage combined resources and expertise, aiming for increased efficiency and a stronger competitive presence in the market.
