Lineage has chosen TGW Logistics to implement automation at its upcoming state-of-the-art distribution center for refrigerated and frozen goods in Hutchins, Texas. This facility, anticipated to be operational by late 2027, is expected to become one of the globe's largest and most technologically advanced temperature-controlled logistics sites.
This development signifies a major investment in cold chain infrastructure, particularly in the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan region. The automation by TGW Logistics aims to optimize efficiency, storage capacity, and throughput for temperature-sensitive products.
For freight forwarders and logistics professionals, this new hub will offer enhanced cold storage options in a key North American distribution market. It could lead to improved efficiency for temperature-controlled cargo, potentially impacting lead times and reliability for refrigerated and frozen goods moving through Texas. The increased capacity and advanced automation may also contribute to more stable pricing and better service levels for cold chain logistics in the region.
