The JSI Alliance has successfully concluded a significant infrastructure project in India, delivering a new liquid cargo berth for Gujarat Chemical Port Ltd. (GCPL). The alliance was contracted by Afcons Infrastructure Limited, which held the primary contract for the construction.
This development is expected to bolster the port's capabilities in managing liquid bulk cargo, including chemicals and petroleum products. For freight forwarders and shippers, this new berth signifies improved operational efficiency and potentially reduced vessel waiting times for liquid cargo at this Indian port. Enhanced infrastructure can also lead to more reliable scheduling and increased capacity for specialized liquid bulk shipments, which is crucial for industries relying on these commodities. The completion of such projects contributes to the overall resilience and capacity of regional supply chains.
