ID Logistics Benelux has initiated the construction of a new distribution center located within Business Park Medel in Tiel, Netherlands. The logistics campus will span approximately 53,000 square meters, marking a significant expansion of the logistics service provider's operational network across the Benelux region. The project is expected to be finalized and operational by October 2027.
This development underscores ID Logistics' strategy to enhance its footprint and service capabilities in a strategically important European logistics corridor. Tiel's central location in the Netherlands makes it a key hub for distribution activities serving both domestic and international markets.
For freight forwarders and shippers, the addition of this substantial distribution campus by ID Logistics could translate into several benefits. It may provide increased warehousing capacity and more efficient distribution solutions for cargo moving into, out of, or through the Benelux region. This expanded infrastructure could help alleviate potential bottlenecks, offer greater flexibility in supply chain management, and potentially optimize lead times for various goods. Forwarders might find new opportunities for cross-docking, value-added services, and improved last-mile delivery options within the Netherlands and surrounding countries.
