HD Hyundai XiteSolution has announced plans to significantly boost its revenue to KRW 1.6 trillion (approximately USD 1.15 billion) by 2030. This ambitious target follows a substantial upgrade to its Ulsan production facility, which will increase the manufacturing capacity of industrial vehicles to 24,000 units annually. The company's strategy, spearheaded by Song Heejoon, emphasizes the production of larger electric forklifts, specifically designed to cater to the growing demands of global cargo handling, breakbulk, and industrial logistics sectors.
For freight forwarders and logistics operations managers, this development signals a potential increase in the availability of advanced cargo handling equipment. The focus on larger electric forklifts suggests improved efficiency and capacity for managing heavy and oversized cargo, which is particularly relevant for breakbulk operations. This could lead to better equipment options for port and warehouse operations, potentially enhancing throughput and reducing operational costs associated with cargo movement.
