Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC Group) has inaugurated a new air-to-land logistics corridor originating from Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Doha, Qatar. This strategic development is designed to strengthen Doha's role as a pivotal air cargo gateway, improving the flow of goods and bolstering supply chain continuity throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
Under this new system, cargo arriving at Hamad International Airport is promptly transferred into secure, sealed vehicles. These vehicles then transport the goods across Qatar and to various destinations within the broader GCC region, streamlining the distribution process.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this corridor signifies enhanced efficiency and potentially faster transit times for air cargo destined for Qatar and neighboring GCC countries. The use of sealed vehicles suggests improved security and reduced handling, which could lead to fewer delays and damages. This development could make Doha a more attractive transshipment point for air cargo, offering a competitive advantage in terms of speed and reliability for regional distribution.
