DEME has successfully completed the installation of all jacket foundations for the Dieppe-Le Tréport offshore wind farm. This achievement represents a critical step in the development of the wind farm, which is located off the coast of France. The project is designed to incorporate 62 wind turbines, and the completion of foundation work paves the way for the subsequent phase of turbine installation.
For freight forwarders and project logistics managers, this signals continued activity in the offshore wind sector. The successful installation of these large components highlights the specialized heavy-lift and project cargo capabilities required for such developments. Future phases will involve the transport and installation of turbine components, which will generate demand for specialized vessels, port marshalling services, and potentially oversized road transport for onshore components. Forwarders should anticipate ongoing opportunities in the European offshore wind market, particularly for projects involving complex logistics and heavy-lift operations.
