De Rivierendriesprong, a company based in Papendrecht, has expanded its vehicle fleet by acquiring seven new Volvo trucks. This marks the first time the building materials trader has incorporated Volvo construction vehicles into its operations. The new trucks are specifically intended for the transport of various materials, including building supplies, raw materials, recycling products, and waste containers. The delivery was facilitated by Volvo Group Truck Center Alblasserdam, a Volvo Trucks dealer.
For freight forwarders and logistics operations, this development signifies a potential increase in regional road transport capacity for bulk and construction-related materials in the Netherlands. While not directly impacting international freight rates, it indicates investment in domestic logistics infrastructure, which can improve efficiency for local distribution and collection services. Companies involved in project cargo or those requiring specialized road transport for construction sites might find enhanced availability or improved service levels from De Rivierendriesprong.
