AD Ports Group has officially launched trial operations at the Noatum Ports – Safaga Terminal in Egypt. This preliminary phase precedes the terminal's full operational launch, which is anticipated to occur later in the current year. The initiative was inaugurated with the presence of His Excellency Lieutenant-General Eng. Kamel El Wazir, Egypt's Minister of Transport, and Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi.
For freight forwarders and supply chain professionals, the activation of this new terminal signifies a potential increase in port capacity and operational efficiency within the Red Sea region. Enhanced infrastructure typically leads to improved vessel turnaround times, reduced congestion, and potentially more competitive shipping options. This could positively impact routing decisions and overall supply chain reliability for cargo moving through Egyptian ports.
