Tiel Logistics, headquartered in Alblasserdam, Netherlands, is undertaking a substantial investment program aimed at enhancing its fleet, infrastructure, and maritime operations. A key component of this expansion is the acquisition of two new four-axle steering semi-low loaders from Broshuis, which are scheduled for delivery this month. These specialized trailers will augment the company's capacity for handling heavy and oversized cargo.
In addition to fleet upgrades, Tiel Logistics is also significantly expanding its operational footprint. The company's operational area has increased from 21,389 sq m to more than 70,000 sq m. This considerable expansion provides greater space for storage, transshipment, and other logistics activities, supporting a broader range of project cargo and heavy lift operations.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this investment signals an increased capability for specialized transport within the European heavy lift sector. The expanded fleet and larger operational area suggest improved capacity and flexibility for handling project cargo, out-of-gauge shipments, and complex logistics projects, potentially leading to more robust service offerings and better lead times for specific routes and cargo types.
