The Port of Rio de Janeiro has successfully concluded a significant dredging and engineering initiative, costing approximately US$32 million. This project was designed to deepen and widen the port's access channel, allowing it to receive larger containerships. Following these improvements, the port is now authorized to handle vessels measuring up to 366 meters in length, a substantial increase in its capacity.
